Prusament PETG Magnetite 40% Grey is produced under strict in-house quality control to ensure outstanding consistency from spool to spool. Each filament is manufactured with a diameter tolerance of ±0.03 mm, supporting stable extrusion and predictable results during long or complex prints. This level of precision helps reduce print failures and ensures dimensional accuracy in finished parts.

Enhanced Material Properties

The addition of finely milled magnetite powder significantly increases the filament’s density and gives it paramagnetic characteristics. While it does not function as a permanent magnet on its own, it reacts to magnetic fields, making it suitable for specialized functional components, prototypes, or experimental applications where magnetic responsiveness is required.

The magnetite filler also gives the material its distinctive matt dark grey appearance, resulting in parts with a professional, understated finish that works well for technical components and design-focused projects.

NFC-Enabled Spool

The 1 kg spool includes an integrated NFC tag that stores essential material data. Compatible systems can read the tag to identify the filament and access relevant information quickly, helping streamline workflow and reduce setup errors.

Printing Recommendations

Due to the abrasive nature of the magnetite filler, a hardened steel or wear-resistant nozzle is strongly recommended. Standard brass nozzles may wear prematurely when printing with this material.

Print settings are generally similar to standard PETG, though users may notice slightly reduced layer adhesion compared to unfilled PETG filaments. With the correct setup, the material delivers reliable results and excellent surface quality.
