Reliable Switching Mechanism for Dual Extrusion

The Switch Bay (S Series) plays a critical role in dual-extrusion setups by enabling the controlled raising and lowering of the print core located in slot 2. This precise movement ensures accurate tool switching during printing, improving both performance and print quality.

Designed for UltiMaker S Series

This part is fully compatible with UltiMaker S3, S5, S7, and S8 printers. It is mounted on the right panel of the print head and aligns with the lift switch during tool changes. When installed, the printer head moves to the rear-right corner to engage the switch mechanism during a core swap.

Precise Print Core Movement

The switch detects the position of the lift switch on the print head. If the switch is pointing forward, the print core in slot 2 remains raised; if the switch is positioned toward the back, the print core is lowered. This ensures stable and consistent dual extrusion behavior.
