Siraya Tech Aegis – Two Finishes, One Pro Result
Aegis is designed to make your 3D prints look and feel finished, whether you’re printing in common filaments or resin. The system has two coatings: Aegis Clear for protection and gloss, and Aegis Matte for a soft, non-glare surface that visually smooths out layer lines. Use them separately or together to match your project.
Aegis Clear – Protection and Fiber Sealing
Aegis Clear encapsulates sharp carbon- or glass-fiber strands, making CF/GF parts skin-friendly and nicer to handle. It also blocks moisture in hygroscopic materials like Nylon (PA) and PPA, helping prints keep their stiffness and strength over time. Once cured, it forms a tough glossy coat that resists scuffs, isopropyl alcohol, and everyday industrial fluids. It also works as a smooth self-leveling primer before painting.
Aegis Matte – Hide Lines, Add a Velvet Feel
Want that clean injection-molded look? Aegis Matte diffuses light to hide FDM layer lines and gives parts a premium dry “velvet” touch. It’s fingerprint-resistant and photo-ready with no glare, making it great for enclosures, models, and showcase prints.
Mix or Layer for a Custom Finish
Layering Clear first and Matte on top gives even smoother surfaces than Matte alone. Mixing Clear and Matte roughly 1:1 creates a satin / semi-matte finish that keeps colors deep and looks seriously high-end.
Easy Application on Most Materials
Brush Aegis on directly, or dilute it with about 10–20% water and spray it for larger parts. It becomes touch-dry in around 20–30 minutes and adheres well to PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PA/Nylon, PPA, CF-filled filaments, and resin prints.
