PET-CF is formulated to provide reliable mechanical performance across a wide range of applications. The addition of carbon fiber increases tensile and flexural strength significantly while also improving stiffness, making it ideal for parts that must bear loads or withstand stress. Thanks to its stability during printing, users can expect minimal warping and high precision, even on large or complex prints.

Print Settings and Best Practices

For best results, PET-CF should be printed at high temperatures, between 280°C and 320°C, and with a build plate heated to 60–80°C. A hardened steel nozzle is strongly recommended due to the abrasive nature of carbon fiber. To maximize quality, disable cooling fans and tune retraction settings to reduce stringing. PET-CF performs well at speeds between 30–120 mm/s, giving users flexibility without sacrificing quality.

Storage and Drying Recommendations

Although PET absorbs less moisture than materials like nylon, prolonged exposure to humidity can still affect print quality. To maintain performance, store the filament in its original resealable foil bag with desiccants. If moisture is present, dry the filament at 90°C for 4–6 hours. Proper drying prevents issues such as surface imperfections and bubbling during extrusion.
