Enhanced Mechanical Properties
The incorporation of 10% chopped glass fiber significantly increases the filament’s tensile strength, stiffness, and impact resistance compared to standard ASA. This reinforcement makes ASA-GF suitable for applications requiring exceptional durability, especially in high-temperature environments.
Superior Thermal Stability
ASA-GF exhibits a glass transition temperature of 106 degrees Celsius and a heat deflection temperature (HDT) ranging from 92-97 degrees Celsius (1.8-0.45 MPa), ensuring reliable performance under extreme heat. This thermal stability makes it ideal for automotive components, industrial machinery, and other applications where maintaining structural integrity at elevated temperatures is crucial
Optimized for FDM 3D Printing
ASA-GF is designed for ease of use with FDM 3D printers. Recommended printing settings include a nozzle temperature of 250-270 degrees Celsius, bed temperature of 100-110 degrees Celsius (glass, PEI, or PC film), and an enclosure temperature of 60-80 degrees Celsius. Retraction settings of 1-5mm at 1800-3600mm/min are advised. To maintain optimal print quality, dry the filament at 70-80 degrees Celsius for 4-6 hours after long-term storage.
