Precision and Design

The 12 mm markers are designed with a 12.0 mm inner diameter and 18.0 mm outer diameter. They are provided on 100 sheets, with 15 markers per sheet, giving a total of 1,500 markers. These markers are reusable (where applicable) and optimized for reliable detection by compatible 3D scanners.

Compatibility & Application

These markers are intended specifically for EINSTAR VEGA and EinScan Rigil devices. They enable more efficient data acquisition when scanning at distances greater than one meter, particularly useful for large objects that lack prominent features or texture.

How They Improve Scanning

• Reduced marker usage: Because these markers are larger, fewer are needed per scan frame, which speeds up the scanning process and makes the workflow smoother.
• Extended range: With the use of 12 mm markers, the scanner’s effective range is extended to 1,250 mm, giving greater flexibility for scanning bigger objects.
• Hybrid alignment: These markers support both pure marker alignment and hybrid mode (markers + feature alignment) when operating in fast scan mode, adding robustness in more challenging scanning scenarios.

Best Practices & Tips

• For optimal tracking, use 8–15 markers per frame, and ensure at least 4 markers appear in each frame.
• Place markers in a random, non-linear pattern, and maintain spacing of 6–10 cm (minimum 2 cm) between them.
• Stick the markers to flat surfaces, making sure they lie flush and uniform. Avoid using non-standard markers, which may degrade accuracy.
