Prusament PC Space Grade Black was developed to meet the requirements of highly specialized fields such as aerospace, research and advanced engineering. It combines carefully controlled material composition with precise manufacturing, ensuring consistent performance from spool to spool. With a diameter tolerance of ±0.04 mm, it delivers predictable extrusion and reliable results even during long or complex prints.

Exceptional Electrostatic and Outgassing Performance

This filament is ESD-safe, meaning it safely dissipates static electricity instead of accumulating charge. This makes it particularly well suited for housings, fixtures and components used around sensitive electronics. In addition, the material exhibits extremely low outgassing, reducing the release of volatile compounds in enclosed or controlled environments.

Strength and Thermal Stability

Enhanced with carbon-based additives, the filament offers high mechanical strength and rigidity compared to standard polycarbonate materials. It also maintains dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, with a heat deflection temperature above 130 °C. This makes it suitable for functional parts exposed to mechanical stress or heat.

Optimized for Practical Printing

Despite its advanced performance profile, PC Space Grade Black is designed for reliable printing on compatible desktop 3D printers. Warping is minimal compared to traditional PC materials, allowing for more stable large prints. Due to the abrasive nature of the carbon additives, a hardened steel or wear-resistant nozzle is recommended. For optimal results, drying the filament before printing is advised.

NFC-Enabled Workflow

The 850 g spool includes an integrated NFC tag storing essential material data. Compatible systems can read the tag for quick identification and streamlined setup, helping reduce configuration errors and improve workflow efficiency.
