Panchroma™ Matte – Next-Generation Matte PLA
Panchroma™ Matte is a bioplastic-based 3D printing filament designed from the ground up to set a new standard for PLA. It offers exceptional ease of use, reliable print quality, high-speed capability, and consistent performance across a wide range of printers. Formerly known as PolyTerra™ PLA, Panchroma™ Matte delivers the same trusted formula and surface finish under a clearer, more intuitive product name — the same great material, just easier to find.

Beautiful Matte Finish, Vibrant Colours
The defining characteristic of Panchroma™ Matte is its uniquely matte surface. The open-pore structure of the material conceals layer lines even when printing at larger layer heights, giving prints a clean, professional appearance without any post-processing. The matte finish is consistent across a wide and vibrant colour range, making it the first choice for display models, figurines, artistic pieces, and any print where appearance matters.

Next-Generation Print Performance
Panchroma™ Matte is engineered for both speed and reliability. With print speeds up to 300 mm/s, it is well suited for rapid prototyping and high-quality finished prints alike. The bioplastic formulation minimises stringing and warping, ensuring consistent results for beginners and experienced makers. No enclosure, no specialty hotend, and no special adjustments are required — Panchroma™ Matte works great on any stock FDM/FFF printer right out of the box.

Compatible with Any Printer
Panchroma™ Matte works on virtually any FDM/FFF 3D printer using standard PLA settings. The hardened cardboard spool edges are designed to roll smoothly in AMS and other multi-material systems. All Panchroma™ Matte products are fully compatible with other Panchroma™ PLA effects, making it easy to combine colours and finishes in a single HueForge or multi-material print.

Print Settings

- Printing temperature: 190°C – 230°C
- Bed temperature: 25°C – 60°C
- Printing speed: up to 300 mm/s
- Cooling fan: On
- Direct drive retraction: 1 mm / 20 mm/s
- Bowden retraction: 3 mm / 40 mm/s
- Drying: 55°C for 6 hours (only if moisture has been absorbed)
Eco-Conscious Packaging and Rebranding
Panchroma™ Matte is wound on a fully recycled cardboard spool. The bioplastic formulation is designed to degrade faster than regular PLA under industrial composting conditions — a step forward in improving the end-of-life profile of 3D printing materials. The spool now features hardened edges and updated packaging under the Panchroma™ name, while the formula remains entirely unchanged from the trusted PolyTerra™ PLA.

Typical Applications
- Display models, figurines, and decorative prints
- Artistic and aesthetic prints benefiting from a matte finish
- Prototypes and general-purpose functional parts
- Prints requiring painting or sanding
- HueForge and multi-material colour prints
- Environmentally conscious printing projects
Handling and Storage
Store in an airtight container with desiccant when not in use. If the filament has absorbed moisture, dry at 55°C for 6 hours before printing. Note that Panchroma™ Matte is slightly more abrasive than standard gloss PLA — if printing large volumes, upgrading to a hardened nozzle may extend nozzle longevity.
